About
Aya kick-started her career as a copywriter at Dentsu Tokyo in 2016. After years of working for brands such as Shiseido, Sony, Suntory (and many other brands that cover the rest of the alphabet) she took her copywriting career to new heights when she moved to NYC in 2019 to work on American Express at Dentsu Mcgarrybowen. From branding campaigns to product launches, she’s experienced it all–she even signed up for a shiny Amex card #adulting (but what millennial could resist the rose gold?)
Having lived in New York, London, and Tokyo, her strengths are in generating big ideas from universal, human insights, which lead to simple, strong messages that can be translated globally.
Currently, though fortunate to be employed full-time at the agency, her main passion is working on freelance projects with small businesses, and would love to hear from you.
(She also has a shiba inu named Uni, who badly needs a friend)
